TOLEDO, Ohio —

Partly sunny and dry conditions will continue Saturday evening for most of the region, though a brief pop-up shower is possible through sunset to the southeast of the Maumee River.
Clearing skies will enable some Michiganders and Ohioans to once again witness the Northern Lights!
Geomagnetic activity will be slightly weaker than Friday night, meaning colors will be a bit more muted, but some areas, especially north of the state line, may enjoy an encore performance.
Under mostly clear skies, overnight low temperatures will plummet to the mid-40s by daybreak.
Mother’s Day will start off cool and crisp, quickly turning mild and sunny with highs near 70°.
The spring sunshine, warmer feel, and calmer breeze will make for a great outdoor day with Mom.
Monday will start off dry with temperatures surging to the upper-70s in the afternoon.
Cloud cover will gradually increase as our next storm system arrives Monday evening.
A few downpours and thunderstorms are possible late Monday evening and overnight.
A slow-moving system will bring roads of rain and thunder Tuesday, which will feel damp and cooler with highs only in the 60s.
Showers will taper off early Wednesday morning, making way for the return of dry weather and sunshine.
Brighter skies will return Wednesday afternoon, which will feel seasonable with highs near 70°.
Thursday will bring continued sunny and dry weather with highs in the low-70s.
Our next weather system will arrive Friday, bringing renewed chances for rain and thunder.
The long-range outlook features temperatures mainly in the 70s with periodic rain showers.
